Ramsey County Deputy Sheriff Brandon Berg served as a licensed police officer for 9 ½ years and was exposed to many critical and traumatic events during the course of his career.  Deputy Berg had been diagnosed and was receiving treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and died by suicide as a result of his cumulative PTSD.  Deputy Berg was survived by his wife and three young children.
